NESCOM, Guwahati, Feb. 18, 2026 — (Based on Aleteia report) — The first full-length biography of Pope Leo XIV is now available for pre-order in English, offering readers an in-depth look at the first US-born pontiff less than a year after his election.

Written by Rome correspondent Elise Ann Allen, the biography had previously been available only in Spanish. Its English release comes amid sustained global interest in Pope Leo XIV, elected on May 8, 2025, following the conclave that saw white smoke rise above the Sistine Chapel.

The book traces the Pope’s journey from his early life in Chicago to his formation in the Augustinian order, missionary service in Peru, episcopal ministry, and later leadership responsibilities at the Vatican overseeing bishops worldwide. Cardinal Robert Prevost, now Pope Leo XIV, became the first American-born pope in history upon stepping onto the balcony of St. Peter’s Basilica after his election.
